Thread: Black Sun Ace Helmet more common on other servers?

Friend just sent me a screenshot, he made a new character on Starsider and when logging in found 4 people in Theed with Black Sun Ace Helmets, not the Bounty Hunter helmets, the ACE helmets.
Meanwhile 1500 or so kills later, I have yet to find one.
Was it coincidence that 4 people who owned Ace Helmets just happened to port at the exact time in the exact same city?
Can a Dev please relook the spawn rates of these things? just look at it and prove me wrong, cuz man
4 in the same city?!

Our pilots work pretty hard on Starsider, not surprised if there are more than other places, but it's not cos the drop rate is higher.

Black suns are supposed to alternate the Corsec spawn in Deep Space - on some servers they do, on some they don't... and Ahazi they don't. ONLY T4 BS that are not mission spawn are the ones outside Endor....
There are very very few BS helmets on some servers, not because of lack of trying, but because the drop rate coding is *&(^%!
Other servers, there are multiple pilots with multiple helmets. People getting them average one per 3 duty missions in freelance.
Imperials got a snowball's chance in hell of getting one unless they buy it of get doing missions WITH a neut pilot. Cant get the waypoints so it's not like the neut can get the mission then sit back ... which of course reduces the chance even more.

It seems to be alot like the lottery...the guys who play the lottery everyday never win....but the one that plays maybe once a month or less end up winning...

took me around 10 duty missions to get mine on Chimaera... not alot about tho.. now looking for my second to sell for mega mil

I got one in about 5 duty missions on Valcyn but not seen one yet on Ahazi after about 15 duty missions.

I don't know how rare the Black Sun Ace Helmets are on other servers but I got mine on my third kill at the Endor Sin Jump point on Sunrunner....must not be too rare.

We've got a few on Starsider, but it'd be hard to say if it's more than other servers. Four in Theed at one time is definitely anomalous.
I got mine after killing about 750 Black Suns, then killed roughly 2000 more without a drop before I ditched privateer for my precious Black Epsilon squadron, effectively ending my helmet hunting days.

Just kidding, but I did get it after killing only about 300 Black Sun. Really surprised when I saw it pop up on the screen, With my luck in general I expected it to take about 6 months...lol. I found the Endor spawn point to be very handy with other lvl 4/5 spawns nearby.

No one seems to want to answer me anywhere else, and I just recently learned that they drop in space. How do you get one? I am an ace private....how can I get one?

i got one last night on ahazi, doing my rebel duty mission 
it was about the 6th duty mission altogetheri took from havoc. am 4433 atm.
was surprised as hell,so much that i even posted on the ahazi forum hehe.
and in case anyone is wondering, they can be equiped by mon-cals

Spent like 4 days doing duty misisons...no helmet. Oteh rpeople would psend 2 horus and get a helemt, soemtimes 2 helmets. I guess the devs want to reward players who dont do as much work.
