So i'm a master pilot freelance (Smuggler Alliance, which is rebel aligned, which i did not know after i started it) and i'm imperial on the ground. Can i just switch to Rebel on the ground and be ok? Or will i lose my master freelance pilot skills?

Grrrr, Smuggler alliance is NOT rebel aligned! Yes, you have a to work for the rebels for your last missons but that does not mean they are your buddies. If it was really Rebels aligned then you would not be able to shot down rebels which is what I do all day!

Yes i understand that. But if i take further NPC missions, will i always be attacking imperial ships?

No, the only missions that require you to attack imp ships are the ones given to you by the rebel tier 5 trainer. Actually in the mission where you have to kill 30 ships, they can be from either side or a combination of both.

This may have changed recently, if you are referring to the 30 Kessel Kills. Last Friday, as a Smuggler's Alliance Pilot, I could attack Rebel, or Imp ships in Kessel, but I only got credit for the Imp kills.

Very strange. when I mastered back in January, I was getting credits for both. Maybe they sneaked a fix for this somewhere.

Which Corvette does an SA pilot have to take out to ace? I have an alt in the same situation: he's imperial but flying for the Smuggler's Alliance, which means he fights TIEs on duty missions now. Not a big deal, except for the Agressors.

I am more than a little concerned about the Corvette, though, since most of the pilots I know are imperial.

That's what I thought it would be, thanks. This could be difficult
