Thread: P.O.B. Ship Components / PVP Options.

I have been testing PVP in space the last few days and have reached a few conclusions.
First Question is why do ppl get so upset when I lock onto them and launch a missile calling me a no skill loser.
It seems to me that a lot of pilots fail to understand the benefits of a balanced ship. Countermeasures are woefully underused. So many pilots do not equip armor / countermeasures / Afterburners. They simply fly and engine with heavy shields and REALLY heavy blasters. Im aware you can customise a ship to your own specifications but you have to understand the shortcomings of such a configuration.
Using a lvl 4 Blaster it usually takes me 4-5 shots to drop an enemy target leading me to beleive that space PVP is actually balanced and a potentially rewarding experience.
My problem is this. P.O.B. Ships.
Having reviewed the components available I have a serious problem with the Armor Rating / Shield Rating of POB Ships. Such ships it seems should be able to stand up against significantly more punishment. Shields / Armor is too low. It should be 10 times that of a fighter. My next problem is the armor rating of components. I feel it should be a lot higher meaning multiple strafe runs to disable a component. Again the Chassis hit points should be a lot higher meaning one of these ships takes a huge ammount of damage.
Right now hate tells on Bria are slowly subsiding and the familiar site of an armorless JSF without countermesures is becoming a rarity as more and more encounters are begrudingly starting to balance out their fighters loadout.
Any thoughts?
