Reactor energy drain of 1380...I just RE'd it with my level 8 reward shield...I'm really happy! Don't know if this is exceptional, but I have never seen a level 8 shield with reactor energy drain of 1900 or less!

Does the mass even matter? For level 8 shields, anything you loot is immediately placed into two categories.

1) To be REd with a reward shield for X stat (drain, in this case)
2) To be REd with a reward shield to fill space

I would say yes mass would be a consideration. A lvl 8 shield might be as low as 25k or upwards of 40k. If you are trying to fit that shield in anythingbelow 100k mass ship you need every extra pound off you can get.

I think you guys are missing that Treena is saying the shield would be RE'd for its drain stat. Sure the mass matters overall...but not for the specific piece he looted with the good drain.
