I know some people have requested this over and over again. Well, I helped some guilders do the final mission of the black-scale slaver mission the other day, and damn it was difficult. They'd tryed it before and told me it was hard, but I've heard that before with tier 4 missions, so I was a little cooky when we started out. That only lasted until the 1 bazzilion gunboats gave me a full barage and I blew up! Dammit, I thought. So much for my huge ego (the others laughter was boomin out of my speakers, as they saw my ship disintegrate. I powered up my droid commands and went back, and after a very short while everybody was dead again, and the mission was failed. We rallied at the space station and decided a new approach in which the light fighters would go in and draw aggros on a couple of ships each, and then the heavy fighter (krayts, rix, x and y-wings) would move in and blast away. This worked and we got rid of a few of the gunboats, when we suddenly got the, "Damn! Engine is at 60%, I need a hand here, guys" as one of our lighter fighters took 2 full broadsides, that breached his forward shields and burned through his armour. Now he was going 600 speed, and with 3 tier 5 gunboats, rapidly closing in on his ass. We (the bombers) made a quick decision and split up, in order to make a crossfire atack on the small group of gunboats. I was in my krayt and had an x.wing as my wingman, the other pair was a krayt and a rix. We moved in at topspeed (for the slowest ship, 1200), and opened fire, and after the first pass, on gunboat was down, and one was close to disabled. We made some qquick shield shunts, and turned around for another pass and the last 2 gunboats went down. Now there was only the big bad chief left, and the whole squadron moved in on him. We decided to sorround him and blast him into oblivion, the good old fashioned way. And as we ver hovering in space, around his frigate, it blew up, and we could all look back at an awesome fight. So... if you want hingh end content in space, this is the mission to do.

I always wondered what that big ball of lag that appears every so often in kash space was... pretty cool =)

You mean Lord Cyssc?

Pretty fun

You get shiney medals too. I wish they'd put more fighters in though.

It is a truely awsome mission. One i have helped out on 3 times now. The first, I got a /tell off a lovely jedi in an allied guild, sasking if I was a decent Ace. Being a pilot, I'm cocky , so how could I not resist. She then told me she needed a lift with a mission on Kash. Stupid me thought ahhh, the vette, that's easy. Hahahahaha!

I hyped over to Kash, met up with Esta, and she got the mission. We headed to the wp only to see 2 tier 5 Imp Gb's, 2 tier 5 cruisers, Arc's and B-22's, all tier 5!!! WTH!!!! I headed for the Arc's thinking they'd be similar to an Agg, target weapon 1 and hit it hard and fast. Only to stray too close to a Gb and end up in pieces. Esta then go agro'd and mission over.

Being determined, we had another go, trying different tactics, but only to end up with the same fait. So, it was time to put out a mayday to guild and friends. Thankfully, I had quite a few masters on line, who I could call upon. In the end we had a group of 8, all masters. We decided to protect esta, the mission holder, by keeping her as far away from the agro as possible. Basiccally this meant hypining around cash space to keep away from the Gb's. Being in my B-Wing i decided to concentrate on the Cruisers, the lighter faster guys took the fighters, and then concentrated on the GB's. Finally, we managed to whittle them down after numerous trips to the station, but we did finish it in the end. The jubilation we all felt after completeing that mission surpasses getting the Vette for master. I have never been tested like that before or since, apart from revisiting the mission to help other people. As a token of her gratitude, Esta gave me an extra JSF, which is still at max cond, as I only use it for PvP. But it will be truely cherrished, as a prize well won. Jedi went up a few notches in my estimations that night, it goes to show, they don't own everything, and they can sometimes be extremely selfless.

Probably the best nights flying I've had, apart from taking 5 Imps in a row PvPing in my Nova

I have yet to get the mission for Lord cyssc, but I will, as I want to complete this for myself, as opposed to someone else.

the ye-4 gunboats in that mission are a freaking joke. just for fun, after we killed everything else, i stood toe to toe and had a dogfight with one. that thing was FASTER and MORE MANUVERABLE than any tier5 fighter that ive ever fought. the ai bases their speed and ypr on a percentage of yours, and it seems when they made these mercenary gunboats the multiplier was a little off.

it felt almost like pvp, except the other guy had 6 turrets and very good aim.

the ghrag (sp?) duty mission at the kash station spawns the hyper-manuverable boats. i was bored and almost asleepwhen half way thru the mission i get lit up - something was taking bigbites of me.i iff and circle back to notice that bastage mixed in with the teir 5 'boss' spawn. i ignored the fighters until i had that thing disabled - what a rush - was on my toes the rest of the mission! in all there were 2 or 3 that spawned - greatfun and a bit of a challenge!

The Lord Cyssc mission is far away and the most fun I've had leading teams since the vette became boring. I really enjoy actually having to employ tactics and consider the abilities of various chasses while doing missions. (Even though generally I end up playing "aggro the entire fleet so everyone else can hit specific targets.") Lately, we've been good enough that I haven't been taking losses out of my groups.

That's good going m8. we usually get a couple of losses. A tend to go in my B-wing, so if things get a bit heated, I do tend to get ripped apart as I can't boost out fast enough.

Well, maybe I'm taking too much credit. After all, I've usually got some good pilots with me.
