First off, oops for the edited double post thang...

Next, Ok, I admit it, I suck at taking out gunboats. I run screaming at the site of them, and they are the only thing stopping me from soloing the corvette, as I can happily take out the one for the Vaksai and Heavy Xwing missions using the excellent guides.

Sooo, what's the best place for a 4444 reb pilot to find some and practice taking them down?

Feel like I need the confidence and practice...

Head on up to kessel.

Find a gunboat that isnt flying around in a circle (what has the pilot been drinking)

Settle in behind it at 540-550m, match speed, target engines and open fire, once engine is down you can happily sit there and pound it with blasters from 550m until it blows.

Just remember to watch out in case it turns (just boost and roll away then settle back in behind it when it straightens out) and watch for the engine condition dropping or you'll end up ramming into the back end of it (I find it best to keep pressing your match speed keep as soon as the engine starts taking damage)

Hopefully I'll now be able to reduce my time spent as a rapidly expanding ball of gas...

If you want to do it the 'harder' way roll youre ship 90 degrees so that the left/right side is facing up towards the bottom of the gunship then go 500m below it (beside it from youre view) and turn towards it shooting (all the while flying at about 10-50 speed) after you start to get behind it turn back and speed up to where you were before....repeat until dead.
