Thread: Need help on tier three storm squad mission
I'm also going through these missions, As we speak. I've got a write up for my first two, but need to sit down and type up the last two of Tier III and the first two of Tier IV.
As to the section you refer to... Run for it! That's a chase, pure and simple. It took me about a half dozen or so waves to realize that, though, this isn't the only time I've faced this. Doh! You'll also come to another spot like this on the next mission. It's a recurring theme throught JTL, one recurring theme amoung many. I've been noticing that Storm Squadron missions involve a great many of these themes often blended into the same mission. Throughout Tier III expect to be Really, really pushed. Challenged. Skill wise, Time wise, equipment wise. I've been learning a great deal since I undertook these missions.
Some Pilots say they solo these with no difficulty at all. And, some do. But, from what I've found. The mission Are tough, especially for anyone who is just learning to fly, and still doesn't have a complete understanding of Mass planning, Crafted vs. RE, or the full use ofDroid Commands. Waves can come fast and heavy, and, while You may not be targetted, your escort is. If you get behind, for one reason or another
and let a few waves build up on you, you can have a good 10-15 ships flying about. Even if you disable a great deal this can lead you to not knowing which ships are active and which aren't. hehe.
It's easy to feel overwhelmed in some of the situations these missions will put you in. I think that's mostly stick time -- dealing with that aspect. I actually Enjoyed Tier III, immensely. The One bit of frustration I had was when I docked with a Nova I hadn't fully disabled, and watched it slowly kill me over a period of 20+ seconds (Two CtSS3's). But, I've also let an Aweful lot of flyiers build up around me at various times. fun, fun, fun.
