I was wondering if there was something I was Missing on this mission. Its one that you run out of Yavin and travel to the Endor sector. You meet up with a transport, escort him a ways then take over another transport, escort him a ways. Then you get some data from an A-wing. you then meet up with a ship, dock and help him repair then escort him.

All this I can solo but then I get to the part when you have to meet up with a ship to give the data too I just get over whellmed with A-wings. I have even recieved help from friends who are 3,3,2,2 pilot's (from a different Imp squad) and we still get over whellmed.

Is there a trick to this are you supposed to destroy the A-wings or just make a run for it or what? I am a combined 0-5 for this mission. Please, any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Barron Wasteland

I'm also going through these missions, As we speak. I've got a write up for my first two, but need to sit down and type up the last two of Tier III and the first two of Tier IV.

As to the section you refer to... Run for it! That's a chase, pure and simple. It took me about a half dozen or so waves to realize that, though, this isn't the only time I've faced this. Doh! You'll also come to another spot like this on the next mission. It's a recurring theme throught JTL, one recurring theme amoung many. I've been noticing that Storm Squadron missions involve a great many of these themes often blended into the same mission. Throughout Tier III expect to be Really, really pushed. Challenged. Skill wise, Time wise, equipment wise. I've been learning a great deal since I undertook these missions.

Some Pilots say they solo these with no difficulty at all. And, some do. But, from what I've found. The mission Are tough, especially for anyone who is just learning to fly, and still doesn't have a complete understanding of Mass planning, Crafted vs. RE, or the full use ofDroid Commands. Waves can come fast and heavy, and, while You may not be targetted, your escort is. If you get behind, for one reason or another and let a few waves build up on you, you can have a good 10-15 ships flying about. Even if you disable a great deal this can lead you to not knowing which ships are active and which aren't. hehe.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed in some of the situations these missions will put you in. I think that's mostly stick time -- dealing with that aspect. I actually Enjoyed Tier III, immensely. The One bit of frustration I had was when I docked with a Nova I hadn't fully disabled, and watched it slowly kill me over a period of 20+ seconds (Two CtSS3's). But, I've also let an Aweful lot of flyiers build up around me at various times. fun, fun, fun.

I did one of those missions the other day, and managed to aggro a few spawns into the bargain ... twice I started the hyper countdown, but managed to get things under control and cancelled it. I also managed to shoot ships up enough that they couldn't keep up without disabling, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Ok so that last leg you say I should just run for it? I tried that once but the A-wings are really fast. Maybe a pump reactor then hit it? Ill give that a try.

BTW how do you cancel a hyper space sequence? I have never wanted to do it but it could be a good thing to know in the future. Thanks.

i just finished this mission, with help through most of it, but he got lost on this particular part. my advice, target the neutral space station and run/booster there as fast as you can. they should break aggro by the time you get there, repair if you need to, head back and most of them should be gone. give it a shot. hope that helps.

/abort will cancel the hyper sequence, then you have about the same length of time before you're ready to start again.
