One of these days I hope to finally get all the components on Phoenix squared away so I can *show* Eclipse what the perfect JSF looks like.

And you don't need a badge insomuch as BADGES for the Bel-22 - you need five, of any type. Visit some POIs, that should qualify.

You don't need a badge to fly the Bel-22. I was flying mine a week after I started the game, and I only had like 3 badges. The 5-badge requirement is for Heavy X-Wing, Crimson TIE, and Vaksai (one of those badges has to be the badge you got for doing the quest). I believe the JSF and ARC-170 both require you to do the quest to fly them....though I don't recall receiving a badge for either quest.

Im not sure on specifics with my JSF, other than 1 experimental blaster, 1 advanced blaster, and a capacitor with a really good recharge rate (like 50 or so). My other equipment is just whatever else would fit in there with those weapons. I haven't done much in DS because theres never anyone there on my tiny server, but the other day I did get beaten pretty soundly about 3 or 4 times by a guy in an ARC-170. He had another guy in the back though, shooting missiles. We would just get into one of those endless circles, and his rear gunman was able to shoot me with missiles about 2 times, which is all it took to kill me with my crappy shields and armor. That being said, I'm not going to change my setup, because it's only not working well against people who have rear gunners with missiles.....and I think the only ship that qualifies for that is the ARC-170.

Just go get some badges, even if you have 95 badges, sometimes adding just 1 more will make the difference.

I've been tweaking mine off and on, but lately I've been trying to configure it for heavy hitting PvE. I have an RE'd pre-nerf engine (around 95), two L8 guns doing around 3400 each, 2000+ shields, 14k reactor, decent booster/cap, no armor, no countermeasures or missiles. An alternative would be adding in spacebombs, but I might as well go with my Krayt if I'm going up against things that require them.
