Best I've heard are still questionable (I haven't tested mine since I don't want to loose it), but it appears that deeding the ship is linked to the "Has gotten 5 badges" badge, and not the X-Wing badge you get when completing the mission. So, it would appear that it has been, but still being reported as bugged by people that don't yet have 5 badges.

I'm still waiting on some more tests though before I go get my badge switched over.

still broke have had mine sat in inv for 10 days no unable to generate because despite 50+ badges i havnt been credited with the 5 badges badge

Wrong question, guys. He wants to know if the actual badge itself has been fixed yet.

I'm honestly not sure about that, either, though. It was supposed to be fixed. But we've seen how things that are supposed to be fixed go. Just fly over to the Imp Station in Kashyyyk space and talk to them. If the fix is working, they'll give you the RGI badge in place of your X-wing badge.

Nope you still get the rebel badge instead of the imp badge.

I got the right badge when i did my quest ohhh, bout a month ago? Strange that it works for some people but not others. Well, not that strange when I think about it...
