hi All i'm new to the SWG game and currently am a RSF pilot captian.
Now what i need to do is disable a ship but when i got rid of the fighters i start attacking the frieghter and then it just explodes :S
How can i disable that ship and be able to continue with becomming a privateer pilot?

Use the [ or ] in order to target one of it's subcomponents (target the engines. Thats what seems to be the objective 95% of the time anyway) and when that component = dead, then the target will be disabled.

They're keys on your keyboard. Near the Enter key. Hit them to target subsystems. Either one works, just hit that one until you find the system you want. Your Quest Journal should also explain this.

Also, take out the weapons (this is a YT-1300, I believe). Being blown to bits while docking isn't a good thing...

Thank you all very much for your help....if only the servers come online now 
It's a frieghter without cannons, it's got diplomatic documents on board in tier 2

Always ALWAYS read your quest journal, it will tell you specifics of what and how to do in space, including disabling, docking, searching, etc.
