Thread: last tier 4 mission RFS PL HELP
Im 4-4-4-4 and tring to do the mission after you get trained for the last tier 4.
Ok so i have a Rihxyrk fully load with 2x advance blasters with armour intens, a advanced ion cannon with shield intens and concusion missiles lvl 3. with the best armour and shield i can make.
to the mission
I jump from Naboo to yavin for the mission (which i get from the lady in the theed palace) and move to the first way point where i am to assist the RFS. I manage to blow them up ok with a little damage sometimes, and the RSF dont move an inch. then it is on to the escort mission and i manage to last in this too with some damage (which i do get repaired at the station). then it is on to the final battle and this is were i die. the two gubships and their fighter escort blow me out of the sky, I have tried getting there before they arrive with no luck i just die quicker, I've tried sneeking up to them, going through the RFS hoping they will engage them if they are hit, EMP pulse on the area around the gunships (this has been my most succeccful i last 3 seconds instead of 1), i even tried e_pulse2 with no effect, i have tried luring the fighter escort away but still get blown to pieces as the gunships hit me as i run as they move so fast. I can not get the RFS to join the battle or anything.
I NEED HELP and ADVICE
what am i doing wrong
I needed two wingmen in order to complete this mission. The RSF pilots won't engage unless they are hit by a stray shot. What I did to ensure this was to crash in the middle of the RSF formation and wait, then hit the boosters as soon as the Black Suns start shooting.
Using top droid commands and counter-measures, I was able to destroy the 10 fighters. The gunboats on the other hand can destroy you in a couple of secs (as you know) if you mess up and I would always mess up during a strafing run sooner or later when down to solely the gunboats.I had to have 2 wingman fly aggressively (and they both got blown up at least once) while I flew conservatively in order to get past it.
Also pirate-trap seems to distract a gunboat if you use it on it and the IFF scambler is also useful in this mission.
