Thread: B-wing is a monster

I just outfitted my first B-wing. I didn't think I'd like it after flying the 'flying brick' aka KSE firespray. The KSE I found with less mass, handles close tothe same as a b-wing. but cannot accomodate the same amount of equipment.

Therefore I made the b-wing at least twice as powerfull as the kse I had. and it still handled slightly better i found. Once I got used to the oversteer, targets did not last very long against 4 weapons fireing simultaneously.

I think I may test it out against the ISD. Just hope an imp player does not show up, cause im sure it still will be useless for pvp.

Anyway, this is just aramble cause im bored at work. Any other opinions on the B-wing?And how it compares to other heavy(and light) ships yuou have used.

Not True. Take a look at some of the B-wing threads. There is much discussion about the viability of the B-wing for PVP. I myself will attest to the fact that the B-wing can be quite effective in PVP.

Monster, monster, monster.

Kitted out properly the B-Wing is an awsome ship. Forget turning on a sixpence, who cares when you have 4 cannons and 2 Mk II spacebombs to fire at stuff.

If you can get you head round the bouncing around, then it's a very enjoyable ship. I just wish, that when you roll, the chassis revolves round the cockpit as it's supposed to do, so that the bottom guns can be at the top with you still facing the same way up as you started. Just like th B-Wing toy you could get.

I personally have helped with the Lord Cyssc mission in my B-wing. now that is a whole lot of fun.

I use mark 4 proton missiles. but i'd be interested in trying out spacebombs if they are more powerfull though.

Dont quote me as I'm a tad tipsy, but I'm pretty sure they have 24k damage on Mk II Spacebombs. Mk IV Protns give around 10-12k damage, though you do get a lot more bang per buck on Mk IV's

Well generally THAT's the ship people call the "Flying Brick". It's certainly a pain in the wrist to handle, but for one that can(both fly AND outfit it) it'spretty good.

Light ships, don't know. I don't care for them in the slightest. Generally I go for whatever has the highest mass and the best weapon arrangement(a spot where the Firespray, B-wing, and Krayt don't measure up for PvE). The Rihkxyrk is the best of both worlds(and handles better than the Firespray, B-wing, Y-wing, TIE Bomber, etc....depending on your flight style, heh).

Here, here. That is really the only thing I found disappointing about the B-wing. If they could make that right I would be happy as a clam. However happy that it is.
