Thread: tie interceptor or tie advanced? and your loadouts please
If you're fighting NPCs, fly the Advanced. If you're into PvP I prefer my Interceptor. Basic loadout (guessing on some of the stuff)
- Level 1 reactor, 12-13k regen
- Level 6 RE'd engine
- Level 6 RE'd or Level 7 crafted sheild, look for high HP
- Level 2 looted cap, 30+recharge
- Level 2 looted or crafted booster, I prefer short boosts with lots of speed for manuevers
- Level 7 gun. With a TIE Advanced throw in a second gun of whatever level you can fit, the added firepower is well worth it. The second gun is more worthwhile than a bigger shield or engine for PvE in my opinion.
- Chaff launcher, 900ish mass
- Whatever mass you have left over squeeze in some armor

Lvl 4 weapons (times two and running WO4)
Mk I booster
Lvl 2 Capacitor
Chaff
Lvl 1 DI
Then if you have room for ordnance and armour, cool. I personally will and the above is my alt's PvP setup.

i was thinkin of a nyms and 2 lvl 6 guns, but ill have to try that loadout and see how i like it, I tend to try and get the biggest guns in a ship without ruining the rest of the loadout.

Well thats what I'm aiming for. Currently I'm trying to find a reactor which is stil economical on mass but with enough regen to run all OL4s. Its fine on my A-wing with only one weapon but just having that one weapon extra throws it out of sync currently.
TIE Advanced for both PVP and PVE. Here's my loadout;
- Lvl 3 reactor 13k generation 4k mass
- Lvl 10 engine 81 p/y/r 97 spd 42.5k mass
- Lvl 5 shield 1200 f/b 8.2 regen 6.5k mass
- lvl 2 cap 1000 energy 37 regen 1.5k mass
- lvl 5 blaster 1750 dmg 0.36 refire 5k mass
- lvl 4 blaster 1325 dmg 0.40 refire 3.9k mass
- chaff launcher 1k mass
- pre-nerf lvl 1 droid interface 14.9 spd0.5k mass
Interesting, that's gotta be some damn light engine and shields... I'm jealous!

working on this for my TIE Advanced
Reactor RE lvl 5 14.5k gen 5.5k mass
Shield 2154 f/b lvl 7 trying to get a 15k mass still for re though
mark II crafted armor 680 f/b for 2.2k per plate
2 Lvl 7 RE guns about 13.8k per
lvl 6 re engine gonna have about 8.5k mass with a 96 speed, just need some better ypr engines 1st and only a 1250 drain once pub 24 hits :-)
lvl 1 pre nerf DI 800 mass
lvl 4 RE booster @ about 2.9k
re lvl 2 cap 1.1k mass 1139 max e 39.9 recharge :-)
chaff launcher abot 850 mass
whatever is left will get put into ordinance (if any at all lol)
my TIE Adv is just shy of 67k mass :-)

Sure I have a lot better stuff on Bloodfin, but this have worked just nicely ![]()
Oh yeah.. Interceptor is exact same loadout... save the lower damage gun
Both guns are REd with the Rendili FG1-Aas base... Gotta love those blue lasers
