I've finally finished the final pilot faction, RSF, though I had to 'cheat' a little to do it.
Due to some odd bug, all imperial ships in Kessel were hostile (red) flagged, and all rebels were friend (white) flagged. RSF requires you to kill 30 rebels, so obviously I was unable to complete my Ace missions due to the bug.
The 'cheat' was rather unexpected. I went up with a friend in his Arc, to Deep Space. He entered as an Imperial, since we figured this might fix the bug for me in Kessel. He went ahead and shot a rebel ship while we were in DS only to find out that it counted for my Kessel quest! So he went ahead and killed all 30 rebels (took 1/3 as long...or less...than it would have in Kessel), we landed so I could get the corvette quest, and then went straight back to DS. He then killed a Corvette and it too counted!.
Now I am a 9x Ace pilot, and finally finished grinding Space! Woot!

Gratz, though how you managed to get 9x Ace without learning about the Deep Space staying overt bug, fixable by redeeding your ship I'll never know.

It never came up. I never went to DS before I was finished with the 2nd Rebel faction...never had enough time between making ace and dropping that faction to move onto the next, so the only point at which I could have first encountered the bug, when moving from the SS to Smuggler's Alliance didn't occur.
I only went to DS during my Havok grind to find out how many FP the ISD was worth if you went there overt to begin with.

It affected you because you kept a ship outfitted before dropping whatever pilot path you were doing before you went RSF. The ship was flagged by a DS visit and you were experiencing a bug. But again, how you managed to do all 9 and not learn about that one....

I really want to do all 9 squadrons, but I just can't think of myself as anything but neutral pilot. I love my krayt too much... And the thought of going imperial and fly TIEs... yuck...
I guess I'll never be anthing but smugglers alliance untill I get myself an alt...
