Thread: whats the hardest rebel squadron??

i already aced crimson pheonix squadron and am about to master havoc squadron, is the 3rd one harder/worth it?? should i just round out and do all 3?

I don't know if there are any hard squadrons in the game, honestly. I recently made a brand new character with a whopping 1k starting cash on a brand new server with no friends, and aced Storm Squadron (supposedly the hardest squadron) in a matter of days, completely solo.


Havoc is the only Rebel squadron I've done, and it's so easy I think I could do it afk. The handful of missions I've helped Vortex pilots on didn't seem particularly impressive (Vortex being the last Rebel squadron you haven't done yet).


Still, if you're bent on doing all of them, do it for the extra set of reward parts and Ace helmet, if for nothing else.

If nothing else, having a third Tri-Cannon to RE isn't bad. As far as Rebel squadrons go, asking which is the most difficult is like asking which brick is softest. While one may be softer than another, it's still a brick.

Ok..thats over. Er, yeh all three are worthwhile imo for the extra sets of reward gear. Hard wise..well, doesn't exist and from what I remember of your flying, you should be able to solo them easy.

Well as squadrons go i found Vortex to be the worst, not really the hardest missions but the 14k drive to the trainers is a nightmare


Not only is one trainer 7k away from the mining outpost on dant the 3rd trainer is also there too!!!


The missions may be easy but there are loads of escort which i find to be the worst just for the fact your doing nothing forthe majority of the time

Pssst.... you can do a quest for the Dantooine station to be allowed to land at the Rebel base where your trainers are.

The 2nd, 3rd, and maybe 4th trainers are all a good distance away from the nearest 'normal' spaceport, but you can do a mission from the space station to allow you to land at the rebel base. This will give you very quick access to 2 or 3 of your trainers.

hey leaph hows it going? anyways yeah, i may do it for the reward gear, mabey not, and yeah i soloed all but 1 havoc squadron mission and that was only because i was helping someone else out and we just did my mission for something to do. escorts arent my thing, so mabey i'll leave vortex alone for now, till i get bored again

Yeah, I gotta say Havoc is definatly the easiest rebel squadron. I soloed it with very mediocre components on a new character on a different server.

I was told that Crimson Phoenix was the easiest. In fact, I seem to recall that Havoc was mentioned as the hardest. I don't really pay attention. Like I said, asking which Rebel squadron is hardest is like asking which brick is softest. No matter how much softer than the others it is, it's still a brick.

If you are going on missions alone then id say crimson is the easiest, then vortex with havoc being the hardest

Those are the only two squads I've finished. Havoc is much easier than Phoenix. Vortex seems about the same as Phoenix.

Its going good Aramiss. Oh and..hard wise, as I said with the rebel sqdrns it just doesn't exist. The hardest part would be for a first-time-rounder using a Y-wing with low level gearto grind t2 with imo.

I've done all three twice now and this is my vague summary of each.


Havoc-First one I ever did. Fun and fine. Short too. T4 trainer is a legend just because he is perma-pi**ed


Phoenix-Its ok...but why do we have a trainer on a planet we can't even full repair at the stationon and there appears to be no mission to allow us to earn that full repair as a Rebel. Hard wise though...not. In fact, ok one tier 3 mission and a tier 4 mission I cannot remember may require help with if you're a first timer, but or anyone as shiny and loveable as myself...walk in the park.


Vortex- A bunch of self righteous Jedi loving npcs which have a fetish with the Inquisition. I wanted to shoot the lot of them. However, the missions are fairly interesting I guess. I guess this one would be counted as the Rebel 'hard' sqdrn simply because it has too many escort missions and they're boring as hell. Oh again, we have to earn landing rights at the t2/3 planet and we can't full repair until we've done the mission, but at least there is a mission .


Havoc is by far the best though because the T2 trainer calls you sweety and the T4 trainer hates you
