Thread: JSF Imperial Required? Doesnt make sense!

Im sorry it just doesnt make any sense at all, that the JSF is only available to Imperials. Yeah yeah, I can drop Rebel on the ground and do it.

But many of us in game have zero desire to grind out Imperial faction. Why is it, that it requires Imperial in the first place? I know time lines mean nothing in the game. But youd think it would be a more natural fit for Rebels to have this ship available to them.

But more than that, this ship should be available to every pilot faction via a quest mission, like some of the other specialty craft require.

The Grevious fighter is fun to fly, and any faction can use it, provided you loot it off NK-Necrosis (or are in a group that kills him). Why is the JSF limited to Imperials? If you can find it, the FireSpray is available to any faction. The JSF should not be any different.

My Jedi alt is a master pilot, and there is no motivation on my part to do the same for my Jedi toon. But having this ship available to Rebels would make me change my mind.

You can imagine the outcry if the JSF were only available to Jedi. The DEV's were smart enough to recognize that. But its shortsighted to limit this ship to Imps.

I'd like our pilot coro to respond to this and see if this wrong can be righted.

1. Old topic, dead horse. Read the other 8 million threads on this.

2. Follow the story of the quest, Vadar gives you his old starfighter. That's why it's Imperial.

3. If you want to compare it to the Firespray, you could make a pretty good argument that this ship is MUCH easier to get than the Firespray.

4. The B-22 is nearly identical, in fact I doubt if most people will ever be able to tell the differences between the two during spaceflight.

And, um, I'm done. But I'll have fun watching the thread!

Yeah, what he said, thats beating a dead horse.

If you'd have done some search about the quest itself prior your venting post, you'd know this is not some random Eta-2 Actis, it is Vader's very own JSF he flew during the Clone War and he hand it to you to lead a mission. So yeah it make sense this is an Imperial Quest, right?

I have one myself andcurrently Rebel Ace but i don't fly it much if at all... Why? Because Rebel have access to the Advanced Xwing.

If you are really into low profile/hitbox ships, why not an A-wing? At least you'd be original. If you want the JSF, switch to imp, do the quest.. re-grind Reb pilot.

So you got some story and some content to get the "Vader JSF". What im trying to point out is that it would have been outstanding if Rebs and Freelance had their own Content/Storyline/Quest to get a JSF as well.

Im not whining or venting here. I'm decrying a lack of foresight by the DEV team in limiting this class of craft to one faction.

Its not as iconic as the X-Wing or the Tie fighters. They correctly assigned them to the only faction they could belong to. The JSF is a specialty ship and should by rights be available to all factions.

It matters little to me that this has been mentioned many times in the past. In my opinion its a valid issue. I have the advanced X-Wing and it rocks. I love it. But Reb and Freelancepilots should not denied access to ship that by its nature is not tied to any particular faction.

Personally, I'd just as soon shove every one of them, along with the pilots that "can't compete" without them, right down the smelly end of a Maw black hole...

Honestly, you want to fly the JSF, do the quest & be happy. I did it myself, why can't you? While you are Imperial why not master one or two Imperial squadron aswell so you can get yourself some Sienar Boltdriver's to RE later and fit them on your shiny, new JSF

If grinding Pilot a second time is what really stop you from droping it to switch Imperial to do the quest. Then, i'm afraid you are not really a Pilot, merely a Jedi Fanboy and you want your own JSFbecause its the cliché. But i hope you'll prove me wrong

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Im hardly a Jedi Fanboy as the master pilot is the free toon from my Knight. And one that was ground from pub 10 a year ago this week. So I dont mind the work. But im not into regrinding the same profession over just for one ship. What ive suggested is that it be available to all factions via their own quests. Not having to break what little is left of the GCW by switching to Imp. I'll grind when it is needed, not because it is imposed upon me by faulty game planning.

And btw, im not in the game after 2 plus years to seek your approval. Im here to enjoy the game, not to kow-tow to players such as yourself.

The jedi starfighter....... ah yes let us go into the history of this ship.... it was flown by jedi during the clone wars for the REPUBLIC which later became the EMPIRE the jedi were all mostly whiped out... and its vader giving you HIS JSF....... stop whining you have your own ships to kill a jsf and if you want one.... do what is necessary stop crying please.... i see rebels on my server all the time with jsfs.... you dont see me complaining about the arc-170 do you?? and i have a b-22... its nice i also have a firespray and let me say its a flying brick..... so yea if you want one and your a rebel or a neutral... do what ya gotta do to get one if ya want it that bad.the point is it shouldnt be available to all because it would totally ruin the diversity of ships flown in space pvp.... and no i dont fly my jsf all the time.... yes i do fly it but i also fly my oppressor too and omg yea im one the crazy people that fly into ds with a fully crewed decimator lol.... deal with it like the rest of everyone did... and stop beating dead horses ive seen 50 thousand other posts like this.....just wait the next thing will be *why do imps get victory class star destroyers and we dont* BECAUSE ITS NOT RIGHT

Megat, I'll assume that english isnt your first language and forgive your ignorance. I have no interest in donning the Imp armor. I fully understand the difference between Imp and Reb ships. This is not whining. Im stating that the DEV's made a mistake in denying dedicated Rebels the JSF. It doesnt have to be Vaders. If we are inventing stories, it could be a ship hidden away for many years and presented to a Rebel who earned it via a quest. It makes as much sense as Vader awarding his ship to an Imp pilot. The only reward Varder every gave, is not killing his underlings.

And I can certainly live with out the JSF. But it is a ship that every faction should be able to recieve with out having to betray their alliegence. Its my opinion. Ive stated it. And not much more to it than that.

The JSF is an IMP ship. Each of the other factions have their own new ships. I am supprised the Devs let the diffent factions fly the ship at all. I am a imp and would like to fly the Heavy X-wing but I can not. I just accept that. Heck, I shouild be able to capture an x-wing and fly it. But we can not. The JSF is for imps. Just because they give everyone the cert means they have to give you the ship. People wanted story content. You have story content. The ship is given to you by vader. Go to him and slap him ( or was it the Emperor) and you will get what you deserve.

Them is the rules. I think only Imps that earn the JSF should fly the ship and not turncoats.

Then neutrals should get to fly x-wings and y-wing, the very same ships used by Nym pirates and other privateer fleets. The JSF was a fighter under control of the Republic Grand Army forces. It became the Imperial army and navy. It was some time before Tie's took over as a mass produced class. These were inheritedby the Empire, not the Rebelion that didn't get into full swing till 20 years later. Also JSF weren't a mass prodiced model....special forces so-to-speak. Frankly the ARC and The JSF should be same faction. Just pointing out facts. I think they should leav it alone. Ipersonaly don't think you should have to do the quest to fly it or the ARC. You don't have to have the badge for Adv X-wing, Red Tie Interceptor or Vaksai, so why for theses two. Somebody in that faction should be able to get the ship [once] and then should be able to sell it for use to any t4 pilot. Also, we should get a chasis restore kit for 500K or 1 mill to repair the decay since the ship really can't be replaced.
