is there a guide or thread that gives some idea of what makes something a "good" part and not just

scrap to be soldback to the dealer?

thanks

Space Loot

Just compare stuff there until you get the hang of it. Eventually, you'll rate them at a glance with barely a thought about it.

its always good to keep all parts you loot and save them to maybe RE them.

Unless you're a Shipwright working on collecting KSE disks, there really is no reason at all to save some things. A level 9 Capacitor, for example, is never worth REing. Actually, level 9 in general is bad. Very few things worth keeping are level 9.

i keep them all anyway many houses with many bags full of many parts.

always there if i need something, level 9 capacitor works just fine in a nova.

until they introduce a reward level 9 capacitor with out of bounds stats that is. i never would have saved level 7 shields prior to rotw either. the stats on that loot page are a little low, but before i had a vendor i tried to base it off a general list like that and save everything that was higher/lower than what i currently had, if that makes any sense.

that can get a little space intensive (no pun intended) though. it might be best to just pick a few parts and levels and collect those, saving only what meets or exceeds the best values on that site.

before i had a vendor or 3 i did: level 4 and 8 boosters. level 8 and 10 shields.level 8 and 10 engines,level 7,8,9 and 10 guns, level 5 armor, level 7 and 8 reactors.

I never said it was the best site, but it's good for a new player who needs an idea of what to keep and what not to.

You'd be doing your Nova a huge disservice. A level 8 or a level 10, even an un-REd one, would be leaps and bounds better than anything level 9 will offer.

yeah even if it's not regularly updated it gives people a decent idea of what's mediocre and approaching decent. if it beats the max stats that are on there, you can be reasonably certain that someone is going to want to pay more than 1500 per level for it.

You're sure it's level 9? Sounds an awful lot like the level 8reb/privateer reward blaster.
