I know there are four faction of Privateers (well 3 really). You have the Hutts on Tatoonie, the CorSec on Corillia and the RSF on Naboo. Outside of where your trainers are located and the missions you do to become a pilot. Are they the same? (same loot, same rewards)

as far as i can figure out, the rewards are the same for the 3 freelance factions, just the missions and trainers that differ

One other thing, some of them are alligned with Reb or Imp. So you can not kill all ships or help the opposing faction. I know Corsec is a true neutral, I am master Corsec. I forget the allignments of the other two.

RSF is Imperial based, and you have to take the Imperial Ace mission from the Admiral in Theed Palace.

Smuggler's Alliance is Rebel aligned, and you have to take the Rebel Ace mission from the Admiral in the hotel on Corellia (Doaba Guerfel I think... can't remember).

Be careful which privateer faction you choose as although you can target imps and rebs equally there are other, smaller, factions you might want to attack but cant.

First time I have ever hated being a corsec was at the weekend helping a guildmate through his last set of tier4 missions, he is smuggler alliance and was attacked by waves and waves of....corsec..aaarrrggghh! I could do nothing but sit there like a numpty and watch him blow up

Don't feel bad Isamu. He obviously made the wrong chioce in factions, as he fell to the more powerful, Corsec fighters!

I always wondered why SA wasn't the "pure neutral" squadron, though. It seems that an alliance of smugglers would favor only whoever placed the highest bid. A rebellion army should not have the resources to make high bids frivolously.
