Help! This is the second time I overloaded my ship with astromech commands and the droid interface got disabled! Now I can't issue any equilization or reactor overload commands to try get all my disabled equipment back up and running. My dune lizard has turned into a luxury yacht, without the luxury!
Landing doesn't reset any of the equipment. Logging out and coming back in doesn't do it either. The only way I've found to get it back to functional status is to find a way to die! And it's sometimes difficult to pick a fight when all your weapons are disabled! Is there anyother way barring death to fix this issue?
----
Update: Problem solved using /ethrust (does any pilot command reset the system? Only ones that rerout power?), thanks to an answer in another thread.... when the search function got to working again!!!

Best case scenario: try repairing your ship (you may have already tried this).
Bad case scenario: unload all the components, close the management window, then reload everything.
Worst case scenario: unload all the components, re-deed the ship, then re-make it, reload the components.

...could he just load up another droid interface part, load up the flight computer, then equalize?
Remember to load the FC!

Repairing the ship will automatically reset the power to its pre flight settings. By default the weapons get disabled first in a low power situation. but if your taxing your system beyond that, then you really need to look into your energy managment. First thing dont overload anything till you overload your reactor. If you are taking off and your Droid interphase is already disabled, try not loading so much heavy energy draining stuff. Your Droid interphase uses so little power it literally could be powered on a potato clock. Try removing one of your level 10 guns and put a level 8 in its place.

Repairs didn't re-enable anything. It fixed whatever overload damage there was but, it didn't return functionality.
Unloading and reloading all components didn't return functionality either.
I haven't tried going so far as to redeed the ship but that would porbably work.
The pilot command /ethrust has worked repeatedly and reliably but, Iunderstand noteveryone has that option. Perhaps some of the other pilot commands can reset the systems' functionality too, at least ones that rerout power.

Umm...If you know you will overload your reactor because of overcharge commands (therefore stuff gets disabled) Do reactor overcharge first!!!

I would avoid ethrust and such emergency commands, they seem just as likely to disable vital components as they are to provide something good.
I use RO3, EO3, WO3, CO3 and captoshieldstunt3.

Thanks for the 20/20 hindsight, Scoooter!
I posted this message as much for anyone else who unexpectedly finds themselves in a similar situation as I posted it to find an answer... which I already updated.
