Okay, I'm on the third mission which is a 'special' one for Jabba's pilot trainer. I need to deliver three gifts to Imperial pilots. The first time I tried it, I destroyed the fighters that come after you.. then after 20 more waves came, I gave up. It's sort of hard to continue when you have 20+ tier 3 fighters on you, spamming missiles.
After I managed to hyperspace out of the sector and get the mission again, I came up with a new plan. Don't even fire on the fighters and just dock with the Imperial shuttle and then hyperspace to a different place in the Dathomir sector, then fly back to where the new shuttle picks up the gift. I guess it worked for the first two shuttles unless you count the factthat when I was flying the 8km to the shuttle waypoint, I was still getting fighters spawning like crazy around me. But finally, I make it to the third and final shuttle with enemies blasting holes in my engines. I dock with the shuttle and set a hyperspace route to the Tatooine sector. After I deliver the gift and I'm dodging lasers, waiting for the hyperspace to kick in, I see a message that says "Escort the shuttle out of this sector." CRAP!
I guess my question is - do I kill all the waves of fighters that come? Or do I do exactly what I tried the second time and kill the fighters at the last waypoint when I have to escort the shuttle, only.

The first mission jabba gives is the very last mission I ever flew solo. I was able to come close, but was never able to do any of the other tier 3 missions alone. You'd be surprised what a difference just one wingman can make. Also found that enough people have trouble with that tier that theres alot of people willing to help someone else, just hang out for a sec in Jabbas throne room and when some one shows up to get a mission, see if they wanna group and then you canwing foreach other.

the trick to this mission is to hyperspace out of the area to another part of the Same Galaxy. the fly to the way point again. If the bad guys show up again hyperspace out again to another part and then auto back to the wp again. I think i did this 6 times in that one mission. everytime you hypersapce out you lose them and you can dock with the lamda shuttles with no problem. the last shuttle you have to escort just stay with him its easy to do the escort no hypering out on that one.
The last mission i did solo was tier 4 mission3 but then again i am on that one trying to build up xp so i can get 4,4,4,3. i am now 4,4,3,3
this tackic has worked very well for me on so far. As a freelancer you have to think like a summgler like ol han solo i have learn. Atleast that how its been so far.

Don't forget the /iff trick if you have it. That may buy you some docking time.

Since I find hyper evasion somewhat cheesy, I disable the waves and leave them floating. They poof shortly, but this give you more time than you need.

I solo'ed that mission using the same tactic psikobunny used. I overcharged my weapons and just diabled everything. Disabling them slows down spawns and there dosen't seem to be as many (seemed like it at least). When they explode you don't get the xp but when I returned to the trainer I was given training even though the box wasn't filled. I learned the hard way about leaving before the mission was done also. Now I check the Quest Journal before leaving. If it's blank, your done.
Hope this helps.

the down side to this tatic for me is even when i disabled them they came just as fast to me. the hyper space trick help me alot all the way to teir 4,4,4,3 so far. I have to agree this is a chessy tatic but as a sumggler you have to think about all the options. I only hyper out when the odds are aginst me and the eject button is telling me to eject lol. it seems to get redder the longer you wait lol.

WEll, I used the Hyperspace away trick. I thought I screwed it up when the baddies still appeared in the new sector of Dath... then when I hypered back... Not a Single enemy fighter til I had to do the escort part of the mission. I guess because they spawned elsewhere, they wouldn't spawn near the WP... something you might want to try for yourself.
