Thread: freelancer faction association

Quick question for you guys in the know. I'm currently a tier 4 smugglers alliance pilot and a reb on the ground. I'm contemplating switching factions to imp in the ground wars. Now I know that smugglers alliance is reb aligned. If I change faction will I be forced to forfeit my pilot skills?

No, you'll still be fine. You can switch ground factions as much as you want if you're a privateer and it shouldn't affect your space faction.. though it can create some strange situtations when Rebels are RSF pilots.
Really though, Smugglers' Alliance is hardly Rebel-aligned. You'll have to blow up a Rebel Vette, but that should be the only time factional stuff is ever an issue.

Cheers Tomo, that clears up that question. I just didn't fancy having to start pilot grinding all over again!
