Thread: Tell me about the Vaksai

Is this ship worth getting? I currently alternate between the Grevious and the ARC 170. Someone told me to start using the Vaksai as it would be a better alternative to the ARC.
In the FAQ, the image does not work and not much detail about it either.

Its nice. Good mass. Good Speed. My only complaint is the wide spread of the weapons and the fact that there is only 1 gun. I would think that the Bel-22 would be superior. *shrug*

Well the only reasonto have the arc as an option instead of the bel (for me at least)would be for the two player turrets so the vaskai isn't going to work as a replacement type of ships for the arc, it's a possibility instead of the bel because with it's high mass you could put cert 9 or 10 shields, engine and weapon into it.

Some Vaksai details:
- 150k mass, so 25k more mass than ARC
- a slightly smaller (maybe) profile than the ARC
- the same PYR chassis modifiers as ARC
- a 1.0 speed modifer, so marginally faster (ARC is 0.97)
- no S-foils to forget to open (I hate it when I go to shoot and all I hear is the whirring of my foils)
- a flight computer, so no more droid warbling in your ears.
- looks like a Kihraxz.
I have not flown mine much. I am trying to put together a good L10 REd engine for it. I think it could be fairly potent given the right loadout, but any 1-gun ship is more of a PVP craft. For PvE, I usually fly a Kryat or JSF.

I guess I am thinking that with a high dmg gun, I wouldn't miss the two gun loadout of my Bel. I do love the PVR of the Bel, but I think since I am 4433 and almost done with the third tree...I will be getting closer to doing the vette. I am a Freelance pilot as well so thought this would be better since I am not certified to use a astromech. Plus it has move mass than the ARC and I could squeze in more bang for mass.

Oh, and...I don't usually take anyone else up with me as I am mainly just grinding ATM.

The Vaksai is the muscle car of space. It is intended as a PvP ship, and you may find grinding in it slower due to lack of firepower (you can't fit an L10 gun like an Ace would). However, the Vak will load up whatever you want and come back for more. The thing is so fast, that you won't lose your lunch, because the acceleration is holding it in your gut

Your Bel=ARC? The ARC only has 1 pilot-controlled weapon. The other two are used by gunners. The ARC also uses an Astromech. Your astromech cert level = your flight computer cert level.
