You would have to start over completely, yeah.

You might think about finishing up tier 4 before you switch, as you get some really useful loot as rewards for those boxes--a level 8 blaster and shield that outclass anything else out there.

There is also the insentive to go ahead and master rsf, as supposedly you will get double the xp on your next progression. I have just read that though and can't confirm really, since you'd stand no chance of talking me into dropping corsec master.

I am very Rebel friendly. I found out that the RSF is Imperial friendly. I refuse to help the Amoral Emperor accomplish anything else. I'll just start over. Darn it all the smitherines.

I am currently 3333 Privateer Pilot. I'm ready to begin my tier 4 missions. I want to start working for the CorSec instead of the RSF. Would I have to dump everything I have now and start from scratch with the CorSec or can I just start the tier 4 mission with them?

Royal Security Force, I believe. Nabooian police.

If you change sides after you hit master then it is easier to master the next pilot proffesion. If you can justify your assistance as syping from a roleplay perspective then you may make your life easier (except that you have the hard part ahead of you anyway).

Definitely try and get the better weapons you get in Tier 4 before dropping it.

Also, isn't it still bugged, where you can use your current ships even though you are back to novice pilot again? As certification only affects deeding and adding components, or it did in Beta anyway. Should make doing the first 3 tiers nice and quick anyway

I have first hand experience with this. I got all the way to tier 4 RSF before I realized that I couldn't shoot Imperials. I wanted to switch to Smuggler Alliance and tried EVERYTHING before finally deciding I had to start all over.

I mastered RSF and dumped it the next day. I can confirm that for every kill you get a master pilot bonus equal to the amount of Xp for that kill. Basically 2x the XP is you master and drop.

It'sa pain in the butt, but you do get all the rewards again.

Also: You can not use your current ships. You have to use the tier's you're certed for just like you were a noob. Make sure, if you have any MP ships that you get everything out of them or it's stuck there untill you master again.
