Thread: Y-wing problem?

Hey all,

I seem to have a problem with my Y-wing,

The forward guns will not fire at all

The only time they will actually fire is when I have a friend grouped and manning the turret, then I can fire the forward guns and he can fire the turret, but as soon as I go back into space on my own I cant fire, they just give a clicking sound like an empty weapon (pulse laser/cannon)

I have a weapon loaded in both slots

I have read the FAQ but it only mentions the "obvious" turret question

Have I hit a key by mistake that disable the forward weapons or somethings?

sorry if its a newb question, but I have only just come back to SWG/JTL after 3-4 weeks break

Thanks in advance

I had this problem too. I can't remember exactly how I solved it, but I do know it had to do with weapon grouping (G key). Go up a few times solo and with a co-pilot and fiddle around with these settings until you can fire under both conditions without having to make any changes.

Ywing = 2 player ship

Ywing longprobe = single player ship.

I think everyone here is aware of that. The problem the initial poster described I experienced before myself. I couldn't fire the primary weapons while I had a co-pilot manning the turret until after I had fiddled around with the weapon grouping setup and often afterwords once that person left I couldn't fire them again until I made a couple more adjustments.

I know the difference between Y-wing and longprobe, if you had read my post properlyyou would have realised I was refering to the standard Y-wing

Thanks guys

Ok stand corrected.

I recall encountering that same problem and the way I solved it was by changing my weapons.

Later when I put them back the way they were everything was fine.
