Hello there
I'm killing on my nice dunelizard the last npcs until my first tier 4 box: I'll go for exotic vessels, for a more capable ship... someone suggested me to buy a Rihkxyrk, describing it as one of the best ships of the game, but I haven't seen many human players with it, and the npc ones do not seem so good.
What do you suggest?

The Ryxyrk is a completely different animal from a duenlizard. What it lacks in moblity, it makes up for in firepower. The transition from a duenlizard to a rhyxirk is difficult when you first start, but it pays off in the long run.
I suggest getting a ryxirk but keep your dunelizard deeded. Your going to have to force yourself to fly differently. But why should you?
Becaus the ryxirk is:
190 mass
3 gun mounts
1 missle mount.
handles better then every other bomber in the game i think.
Anything you point the nose of your ship at, is pretty much toasted in short order.

run engine overload 2 or 3 and the rihkxyrk is a truly deadly ship. maneuvers like an Xwing with the same firepower.

/agree /agree I use one. I used the dune all the way up to tier IV and I am using this one now. Good ship.

I havent tried the Rihx yet, but my Dunelizard has lasted me all the way to 3444 and without a doubt, more. Ill admit I have some pretty low-weight loot on it, but being able to keep up with my target is a must for me. I tried a Kimo before they upped the max mass on the freelance ships and I deeded it after an hour. I know its a beaten horse, but its all about your play style. Just think, 1 more tier and you will replace your Rihx with a Krayt.

The rhyk is absolutely better than the dunelizard. Sure, you have to use the engine overload program but with 3 advanced guns in there and weapon overload 3, nothing lasts very long. I'm on 4333 now but as soon as I get 3 experimental weapons in there, I can't see how this thing can be beat. Maybe its just me, but it seems like the way the weapons are placed you just can't miss with it.
Right now I got 150k mass used on it with 3 big crafted weapons and a big crafted shield. I can fire the 3 guns continuously with capacitor overload and they've been experimented to bring up re-fire speed. On those duty missions, the wave where there's like a dozen ships coming at you, I just let them pass, turn around on them and just start firing wildly.
Oh, and I only have a 70 speed engine in it.

I loved the Rihk until the Kryat beat it out for datapad space. Of course, I loved the Kimo too and my lizzy, tho I still haven't got the lizzy decked out quite enough to make me take it out in serious combat over the kryat.

I still (from the first minute I got a cert for it until now - who-knows-how-much-time after Master) use my Dunelizard for absolutely everything. With one 3.8k gun, one ~2.3k gun and Weapon Overload 3, it's a very capable fighter. And, as a pet project of mine, if I manage to RE some very low mass boosters, I'm planning on putting two 3.8k guns in it. Gunboats, beware.
