Thread: Cannot Fire Starship

I just bought a Sienar Systems Starship Disruptor for my TIE Fighter. Im qualified and I have loaded it onto my starship, however, I can't fire in space. I also tried a Light Ion Cannon but that wouldn't shoot either. Both qualified and loaded..
Please help

Make sure you haven't overloaded the reactor. When you are drawing too much energy, the weapons are one of the first things to get disabled.

Tips for weapons use problems:
1). Make sure they are fully repaired. Also make sure your capacitor is fully repaird. Check the energy storage on it, and recharge rate.
2). With all ship gear equipped, go to a terminal and select "manage" your ship. Look at energy,..if the left number is in red,...you are using too much power. Compensate by removing non-essential gear or using items that draw less power.
3). USE a reactor overload program if tip #2 is true. You can overload the reactor (I recommend overload 3) and generate MORE power to supply your entire ship
4). Reactor Overload 3 AND weapon overload 3 work well together and I recomend it. More juice plus harder hitting weapons. Capacitor overload 3 is also a good program to use. When using the droid programs...overload the reactor first.

Make sure they are in a weapon hard point you have a keymap for, took me a while to figure out my second weapon, as I did not have a button keymapped for it.
