1) I am on Tier 1 now, and got myself a Y-Wing. Not a big fan of the Y, but does hold a lot more mass so I could soup it up with some goodies. Problem is, I can't get my secondary weapon to work. I can get a weapon to work in the Primary slot, and I can get my missiles to work, but I can get the secondary weapon I have installed nomatter what I try. My reactor is good, not in the red, have a good wep cap. Someone please, HELP!

2)As I said, am on Tier 1 now and been sent to Yavin 4 to do missions from that Reb pilot trainer. Problem is, I'm either getting my butt handed to me because I can't seem to do much damage, or the mission ends before I can kill the objective, because it seems like I'm just blowing kisses at the enemy pilots. When I first started at Tatooine, I could kill no problem, but now it seems like I can barely touch shields, and even if I manage to, I get them to like 50% and then the ship never seems to take anymore damage from me. I'm practicing a lot of the tactics in this forum, but still lots of problems, and I wouldn't have thought it would seem so impossible to do these missions, since I was sent to Yavin 4 to do em. HELP!

3)I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one, but just want to check: Does my Battle Fatigue and Wounds have ANY effect on my piloting?

1. The Tier 1 Y-wing is a two-person ship. To fire the second gun, you'll need another player to ride along with you. You'll get a one-person Y-wing at Tier 2.

2. Are you still using your Prototype Blaster? You may want to look into upgrading. Other than that, all I can say is practice. You'll get there.

3. Not to my knowledge. I've been running around with capped BF for weeks.

Ah ok that makes sense. So I might as well clear the space unless I decide to have a buddy flyin with me unfortunately haven't made any buddies since I joined Starsider about a week ago. No one interested in a n00b pilot I guess, and was lookin forward to a RP Star Wars server

I'll keep on practicin I guess. I loaded a Tri-Cannon, don't think I have any Proto gear anymore, tried to upgrade based on recommendations from these forums and other sources. If BW dont affect me, then I'll just keep gutting it out at Yavin 4

Something else just occured to me. You said you had problems with their shields. Check your gun. Guns have a damage rating vs. shields and vs. armor. Sounds to me like yours has a really small vs. shields rating.

Oh, and if you're doing well, you won't see the ship drop below 50% shields. That means you have taken out the back (or front) shields completely, but not touched the other side. Once it gets to 50%, start looking at armor rating on your opponent.

Maybe part of my problem is I'm fighting Tier 2 and 3 ships, and I'm a Tier 1 pilot? Are there other space quests I can do, or do I have only Yavin 4 to work with until I get more experienced?

Thanks for the tips on shields not going below 50, explains a few things

I did check my wep too, and the tri cannon looks ok against shields & armor. Wish I could fire my Ion to get shields down, then unload it and load up the cannon to finish the job hehe

Also, Kitten is Reb pilot on SS, and Ramona has a ton of pilot contacts on both sides.
