First off, I want to talk about why I was up there.
I was chuckling along with everyone else yesterday afternoon, as I read about someone who had ALREADY disabled their reward skiff while putzin' about on the new world. I shook my head and went about my work until I could go home and try out this Mustafar place for myself.
My friend and I really enjoyed the excitement of wandering about a new area (once heat shimmer was turned off, mind you,) and we did a couple missions on our fleas for a bit. Then I pulled out my own reward skiff, (there were about 12 others pulled out right in front of the Mining Complex front door, I felt the need to prove that I had one too,) and we went off to just see the sights, and hopefully find some markers for our mission.
We crossed this bridge over a river of molten lava, and saw a marker. I quickly headed over, jumped off the skiff, (forcing both of us on foot,) and tried to use it. No luck. Not the right one. Darn. Then I hopped back on. At that same time. A small group of Talruses(sp??) took offense to my presence, and aggroed me. Not my friend. Me.
My friend tried to get back on the skiff, but for some reason, (it couldn't have been LAG could it?) he was just standing there on my screen. So as I get down to almost no health, I figure, he's not aggroed, I don't want to die, so I started to leave.
As soon as I started to move, I was incapped. Then, after the mobs paused for a sec, they aggroed my friend. Incap. Then after another pause for a few seconds, they took offense the skiff. *BANG*
That wasn't evil. That was just plain mean.
-Now to the pilot part of the story-
So today I'm up in Naboo space sector, mining what I need to make a vehicle repair kit. I'm not a newbie when it comes to space mining. I don't have the perfect rig for it, but I do alright. For some reason though, NOTHING was going right. It took me FOREVER to mine a full cargo hold. It took a LOT more shots per asteroid chunk to kill anything, and the asteroid bandits that jumped me did the little jump around game, where they are right in front of you, invincible, and then they warp 500 meters away, heading in another direction.
Anyone else having these lag issues? Is it just me?
I would understand Mustafar being really laggy, but Naboo space? Yavin IV was just as bad. In fact, even calling my bike out on ground takes longer than it should. On Tatooine even.
I guess I know it's because of all the people signing on for the expansion, but still.
To all you people: GO AWAY! You KNOW you are just going to play for a week or two before getting bored and quitting again. So save us commited players a hassle and DO IT NOW!
That's all.
Watch your skiffs, people.

Its been a little crowded lately, especially the carbonaceous rocks in the Naboo system, but otherwise its fine.
The key to space mining is a proper rig. You can't half arse it, go balls to the wall or you're going to get frustrated.

I hear that. I'm waiting for my alt to master shipwright to make my own rig. (I'm cheap. Mostly because I'm poor.)
I was just commenting that the lag is making it harder and longer than normal.
