What flightstick should I use. I want one that is comfortable and has all the axis controls built in. Also, how easy is it to setup.

I use a Saitek X52 and love it. It takes a little bit to get onto the programming of the stick, but once you have it set up it is great. Since you can have multiple programs and up to 6 modes within a program, it is easy to set up things for all aspects of your flight. Ex. In a single program, I have 2 modes for space combat and 1 for space mining with 3 left to program. You should check it out, although, you will pay for it!! About $140. Good luck. Kkat

I use a Saitek Cyborg EVO.

This stick is good for righties or lefties, has twist handle for roll(you could set this to yaw if you like and use the left/right motion of the stick to roll), it has a trigger, POV hat, 5 buttons on the head of the stick, 2 buttons on either side of the base (to accomadate righties or lefties) and a shift button on either side of the base, to give each botton dual functionality. This stick also has throttle control built into the base.

Programming the buttons is a piece of cake..the software is very intuitive and it allows you to build a stick profile for any game you play that can utilize a joystick (ie you could configure it one way for SWG, another for Wing Commander, another for Doom3, etc). It is easy to switch between stick configs, just right click the joystick icon in your lower right hand corner of Windows and select which config you want.

The 2 real kickers on this stick are the ergonomics and economics. Ergonomics wise, it is awesome. It has 3 individual adjustments for ultimate comfort, and interchangeability for righties or lefties. Economics wise, I think I paid $45 for it and that was almost 2 years ago...I have not had a single problem with its performance and I play JTL a lot.

Last point is that it is a USB connection, so a joystick port is not required.

Using Saitek X-45 ( joystick with seperate throttle control). Works very well, the throttle has a rocker switch for use as rudder (yaw). As for setup, I just use the ingame one, it recognizes all the buttons on it.

I had the x45 and loved it...until the main fire button broke.

I now use a x52 now, and I love it, as the above poster said.
