I'm currently an Imperial 2-2-2-1 pilot flying an ordinary TF. Mass is starting to become an issue but I think I can hold on until I hit 3-3-2-2. The question is what to replace my TF with. The heavy TF isnot an option. They're selling for an obscene 750k on Bloodfin. (I *will*eventuallyseverly undercut those prices with my SW, but I digress) Anyway, I'm having a hard time deciding what to upgrade to. The stats in the FAQ show that the higher tier ships have a tendency to get worse Y-P-R. However, I know it's offset by better equipment. In particular, I'm trying to decide between the Tie/In and the Tie Interceptor. ...although I've heard something that a Tie Bomber can be just as nimble. ...but I'm pretty sure I just misunderstood what the guy was saying.

The numbers in the FAQ are YPR acceleration, not YPR rate. In other words, they're how fast your stick motion will translate into a full speed turn in a given direction. How fast "full speed" is however is based entirely on your engine.

...and the speed modifier of the chassis.
Get the Interceptor. More mass and better turning.

note, in the first sentence I said "full speed turn" therefore when I said "full speed" later, I was referring to turn velocity, not linear velocity.

Or, you can get a Bomber and not have to worry much about mass and finish out Master with it. Plus, most all your equipment from your Bomber can be shifted over to an Oppressor. Thats what I did.

That's not what I'm referring to. The speed mod of the chassis is also applied to the YPR. So the interceptor get YPR = 1.0 x Engine YPR where JSF gets YPR = 0.95 x Engine YPR at their best throttle settings.
