Ok, so I have a fully loaded A-wing and X-wing stuck in my datapad because I dropped Pilot and now I can't even manage the ships to get the components out.

I should have considered that before I dropped, but i didn't think about it and the system didn't warn me.

I'm guessing I have only 2 choices...destroy the ships and all those nice parts, or grind back up to the certs for the ships so I can unload them.

Anyone have a workaround?

Ask a CSR to help you ... but grinding a Rebel squadron might be faster.

If you put in a petition, sometimes a GM will unload the ships for you.

Lots of people have had CSRs unload components out of their ships, deed the ships, and get everything back into the player's inventory. Some people have reported filing multiple tickets to get it done, but I had no problems having a CSR help me the one time I left a Tier 4 ships generated when dropping a faction.

Thnks guys.

Hopefully they will help me. I should have known better than to trust that the system would actually work correctly (or at least warn me that I was about to do something dumb)

Can ships be traded without deeding them? I never tried. You could trade it to a rebel pilto who can manage it and remove the parts... but not sure if that works.

Nope. Some have said that the Beta allowed it, but it was never possible in Live.
