Can i only get one of them for each faction? Or can i get 9 medals for all 9 squads?

Mastered two times Imperial Pilot now on main char and got only the one medal in inventory after last publish. Second char bought a cheap Alliance Ace Medal off Bazaar before finishing Rebel Master Pilot and got no medal when i became Master.
