Well I got my Master Pilot last night and I've had my YT-1300 banked and ready for a year. It's great I love how it looks inside I had some guildee's gun it last night. They kept saying "stop swinging around."


I think I may need some tip son how to help the gunners. I slowed down but the speed on the YT is different from a fighter crafter.

slow , gentle turns if you have to turn at all. It's almost impossible to shoot something from a POB that is constantly changing directon

The YT1300 is a different ballgame completely !


It is effectively a Big Bomber where the gun turrets protect the ship. As with any turret on and POB the pilots movement creates havoc for the gunners.


My team found it most effective when we run teamspeak .... my flight towards the target is steady and I try and split the multiple targets into top and bottom relaying the directions to the gunners. The gunners have learned the 12'oclock and 6 o clock's of the ship so I can relay information. If they advise me out of range I call ..."Rotation" and they know I will turn to face the targets and call ...."steadied"


It gets quite fun and takes a bit of practice but alongside your co-pilot who should be not only helping with advising the gunners and keeping lookout, he also ensures they are firing sensibly and not overdrawing the cap power. He ensures the BIG damage dealing attackers are targetted first as his primary job is to protect the shield power, which he can only do if he effectively manages the cap power which inturn means managing the gunners fire rate and targets.

"Targets almost destoyed - All stop please - Max Power diverted to weapons - Fire at will - No other visible threats" - Co-Pilot


"Confirmed - All Stop"


SECOND PASS



May sound daft but we have a blast and it works for us. The YT has 2 good missile launchers on the front which we use for the Gunships and big boats but overall, Look Forward to the NEXT PUBLISH where they are going to beef up our components a little... should be good !
