What seems to be the best way to level pilot?
I'm not necessarily talking about the fastest, but what's the best way to gain xp--
Is doing the duty missions worth it, or is it better to just go on a rampant hunt for the nearest ship you can target?
So far, I've done some duty missions, and yes leveling is slow right now, but does xp change with the different ships that you blow up, or does it tend to be a fairly standard amount regardless of the ship?
Thanks!!
Gawd, I love space!

The best way is to putter around and find something that's fun. Some people like to snoop around and look for random enemies to fight, some people like missions. Whatever your preference, you'll find that you'll get more XP and enjoy the game more if you do something you enjoy rather than grind it out.

So I've banked 1.1mil pilot xp before getting master, if I go to imperial faction to get the JSF and back to rebel, will I lose my banked xp anywhere along the way or when I shoot my first ship when regrinding? I've losttons of xp in the past by shooting a rifle when myxp cap was 10kbut had banked about 500k xp (regrinding marksman but hadn't yet trained up). Does pilot xp act this way as well?

yes youll lose it all, you always have to start from scratch. my reccomendation, get master before you switch, then when you do switch youll get duoble xp

If you're a privateer you won't lose anything at all. But if you're rebel pilot, master first for the xp bonus.

No matter what, you lose everything. It's worth mastering first, cut the XP grinding in half.
