Thread: New Capitol Ship Fourm (The old one is too long :)

I have an idea- instead of having like it being x ammount of faction points or whatever, have it be a whole new space proffesion. The only problem there is the balancing, but people are smart- theres always ways around OR when you enter space, there is only 1 capitol ship, you just dock with it and board it. Or both of those ideas in one. Or maybegive 1 or socapitol ships tolike space guilds, cept like squads- like freelance might have Smuggler's Alliance, Valarian, RSF, or maybe player-created. And instead of somone launching boarding missles, have it be launched by a boarding party themselves- but limited range, so that you cant travel over something like 5000m. And if you try, your boarding ship runs out of fuel, and the capitol ship tractor beams you back in. Thats all I can think of at any rate; just please don't flame this idea, no one likes to hear you whine- disagreeing is fine

problem I have always heard with attaching it to a guild is ppl making lots of mini-guilds to get more cap ships


I always thought if it was tied to a city with a shuttleport (so it has to be of a certain level) would be a good enough limiting factor. The mayor and possibly militia would then determine who can launch it


I like the idea of a completely new, possibly "elite" prof that delt with capital ships, and I think others should be made as well, give us a choice for more things in space. maybe cap ships/station manager/space squad leader


small, stations or outposts would be cool

the only way that an elite profession would limit the numbers is if it cost skill points
