Thanks. That sounds exactly how I want to use the setup. No wasted motion and no searching for keys.

Got the Nostromo and am having a problem getting the throttle setup on it. Is there a way to link the mouse wheel to the throttle slider or am I just SOL in that regard?

When this ended up being too slow for throttle adjustments, I doubled it. each scroll 'click' maps to 2 Up/Down arrows. Throttle control isn't quite as fine, but the adjustments are responsive overall.Considering trying the Saitek X52 if I can find one locally...
Friend of mine has the X52. It's a nice setup, but IMHO the throw on the joystick is way too long for JTL. It may be fine for a real flight sim, but transitioning from turning bottom right to top left just takes too much time IMHO. My buddy loves it though, and he hasn't worn it out yet(we were both in the replace the Logitech every 5 weeks club).
I mapped the arrow keys to the pad and it works but like you it is too slow and doesn't have the control that I like on the throttle.
BTW I have heard the early models of the X52 had a extremely large dead zone. Supposedly now that is corrected. I too am looking for a X52 but I really doubt here in cowtown USA I will be able to find one. Oh well time for a road trip. I am not buying one I til I can actually handle it.
