I know you must be an Imperial Combatant to do the quest to get the Jedi Starfighter, and I was under the impression that it couldn't be traded. But as I was browsing through a bunch of SWG-related websites, I noticed they all said the JSF COULD be traded, but some mentioned something about having to do the quest to be able to fly it and being an imperial so here's my question...

If I trade/sell the thing to a Rebel, would they be able to use it, or do you get the certification from the quest and thus the Reb wouldn't be able to fly it unless he actually does the quest himself?

You need: 4xxx pilot, finished the quest.

So it is tradable, but only people that have finished the quest can generate the deed and they already have one.

So even with certification from 4xxx pilot Rebels get the finger when they try to use it without going dark side and actually doing the quest? WTH?

What happens to your Rebel Master Pilot status when you resign from Rebellion faction on ground and go "gimp"? Does it get dropped?

You loose all rebel rank, fp, starship combat xp, prestige xp and pilot progression.

If an Imperial wants the ARC he's in the same boat. Only neutrals can retain the pilot xp/progression and still get both ships.
