Blast it until it respawns


Seriously... examine the asteroid and you'll see a resource counter. Keep blasting it; no chunks will drop off, but the counter will still decrease. When it reaches 0, you'll get a new asteroid to play with.


And this one *does* drop resources.

The reason an astroid stops dropping chunks because there is a finite limit to the number of smaller chunks an astroid can generate. So not chasing astroidsbecause they are too far will sooner or later cause the large astroid to stop dropping smaller ones.


This isespcially problamatic with the astroids closer to thespace boundaries because many of the smaller astroid chunks can't be retreived.


So, please as a courtesy to the next miner, make sure you get all the chunks you blast off the main astroid.
