Thread: i did nym quest and i got this shield????

i saw samewhere before CU.. they were saying we ganna update Mp ships shields( i thought they ganna make huge mass>>> 5k-6k shields)....oki... where are they??? in lowca all shields are still sux... im still using my 2340 trainer shield.... btw all nym quests rewords are sux...i got 6 shps in data and i didnt even put anyof them in anyship

The Protecto-Net is crap. It would have been NICE if the thing could have had a super-low reactor drain or high regen to make it a nice mate to the existing reward L8, but c'est la vie.
About the only thing the Protecto-Net could be used for is ambiance, as it *kinda* looks like an 80s-era Cray Supercomputer.
The two best rewards from the Starmap quest are the Quantum Ion Drive (which has a dynamic speed/PYR score - you can luck out and get one in the 90s or get screwed and get one in the 70s or 80s), and the Corellian Beamrail Gauss, which can have a damage past 4100 max. Pretty much the only thing you can hope for is to get an L8 with a higher speed than the 88.5 the post-nerf Haor-Chall engine already provides (I got 91.6 - but I'm gonna respec my Jedi temporarily to a TKM/Ranger4000/Smug0010/Enh4000/Defender4040 and run the quest again in hopes of scoring better - plus that L8 armor plate wouldn't be bad on an MP ship).
Just be sure to clone when you get to Dath to make the run down the cave, and make sure you don't run as far as you HAVE to - you don't want to go straight down to the bottom - you want to run down and enter the room with all the broodlings and the queen and "use" the "a human skeleton" in the room.
The death is *somewhat* worth it, as the final phase doesn't involve combat, just two trips from Narmle to Mos Eisley to deal with Solo.
