Having trawled all the way through Jabba's Palace just to get to his pilot trainer I am now completely stuck on the first mission. This is the mission where you have to recapture a freighter full of weapons in the Yavin sector. I am not having problems with the three Valarian fighters that show up I can dispatch those quite easily. However, when I take out the freighters engines nothing happens, no mission complete nothing. I have tried docking this is refused, I have inspected the freighter and it's contents come up empty. I have even sat by the freighter for 20 minutes and nothing has happened. Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong or is this a bug. It is really annoying me now cause it's happened about six times.

try docking with it... the repair it and then escort it

after disabling it you don't really dock with it. you wait for the commandos to take it over, then you escort it.

Disable its engines, target the engines using the [ or ] keys. Then fly real close to it so your almost sitting on top of it. Your crew mate or whatever, will say they are going aboard and eventually they take it over.
