I like JTL. But have you noticed that not that many people seem to be spending much time in space any more? How often do you use your multi player ship? Is it really difficult for you to find other pilots to go on missions with you?

Well I think all of these problems would go away of we could use pilot XP/prestigue points to convert them to force sensative XP. Because now that I've mastered my pilot profession there aren't many things to acheive in space. Its just flying for fun, trying to get some good looted ship parts, and earn a little money or faction points. While these objectives do have some value its tough for me, and I suspect a lot of other people, to justify spending much time in space when I have so much far to go with my jedi grind on the ground. If we could grind for XP to convert in space I suspect that FS XP grinding would even out between the ground and space.

The conversation ratio could be set to an appropriate level to justify the rate at which pilot XP/prestigue can be gained vs. ground combat and weapon XP.

Now some critics might say that being a good pilot has nothing to do with being a jedi, but I strongly disagree. If we use the Star Wars movies as a reference Luke was told that his father was the best pilot in the galaxy. And lets not forget that Luke was the pilot who blew up the Death Star and was one of the few pilots to survive the Battle of Yavin.

Before a lot of grumpy pilots come after you with pitchforks, I'd recommend you do a search under FS XP and pilot xp/prestige. It's an ugly area. Many, many of us want nothing to do with the Jedi grind in space. And, the moment you let FS folks earn xp up there, Jedi will want to start using powers in space.

A resounding no!

But really, do a search - lots of big ugly threads on this already.

It is possible, but the conversion rate would have to be high... like 100:1 or 150:1. People would say even that is too low... I have heard people say things like it would have to be 1000 to 10,000 per point... which is insane.

Seeing as almost all points are fs related, I cannot see why space based xp shouldn't count. It really isn't fair for people who want to grind in space rather then on ground, to refuse them their right.

However there are people out there with millions of prestige, and this could increase the Jedi population rather quickly... for the good or the bad.

Jedi wannabe's can have their FS conversion when pilot costs Skillpoints, Jedi and other ground status plays no part in the space game, we have witnessed again and again that if you give the Jedi community an inch, they'll whine for a mile, Use search, dead horses aren't to be flogged, kthxbye, and i'm done.

I dont, id like to be able to spend it in some form though. Say for reward quality parts? like i said in other post, itd be more around 3 mil for a level 8 reward engine.... I dunno im just throwing ideas out there

um let's see I can do 400-600k an hour straight up at 4444 with all 3 master mod that's 1.6-2.4 mil xp an hour at 100:1 that's 16-24k an hour reasonable imo BUT it take NO skill points so you have the oppurtunity to get all the combat reflex xp you need with no combat abilities to justify it. Let's just keep the ground and space portions separate COMPLETELY until you can land and raid a space station with a crew of pilot commando's to take it over and repair it from the inside.

In a single blacksun duty mission (RSF trainer)

I kill 40 T4's. and 15 T5's.

This is roughly 215,000 prestige (working on a 3.5k for a T4 and 5k for a T5 - I think I'm underestimating), it takes me approx. 45 minutes (at most).

I can also kill a corvette and it's escorts in aroundabout 10 minutes (deep space or kessel), at 43k a time for the vette, 5-6k for each escort, 30k for a gunboat...

If I dropped master and re-ground to 4444 I wouldn't lose any of my ships except my Y-8, and I'd be getting 4x the amount of exp that I did prestige for the same duty mission.

Not accounting for stored prestige, where would the conversion rate have to be set to allow the jedi grind to stay at it's rather sedate pace?

Say rather, the FS grind. Giving Jedi XP in any way from Pilot XP or Prestige would be worse ... and THAT would send up a scream from BHs too! The only really nice point here would be the ability to change FS boxes for a Jedi, since Jedi XP doesn't convert into FS...
