Thread: What's the difficulty level of missions at 3333 freelance?

Last night I was able to rattle off the missions to get to 3333. I was actually surprised that after the first one, which was a bear, the rest were a cake walk... So, how much harder are missions at 3333? Any loadout advice? I'm flying a Kimo that's loaded up 108k/109k mass, with most of my mass going to bigger guns/shield/armor.

Why not just....wait until you get there? Anything we say is opinion, and going to differ from your own experience.

I though all of the Freelance squadrons were unbelievably easy after doing the Imperial/Rebel squadrons. I think Corsec and RSF both have one nasty gunboat fight at some point, last Tier4 maybe.

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

Cause I'm impatient Actually I'm more interested in loadout recommendations. The tier 4's I fought didn't seem that big a deal and I haven't started running droid programs yet, so I'm hoping to find out what to expect. Oh... and since this tier is missions and xp, could someone recommend a good place to grind?

Well first off you should get your flight computer programmed with level 3overload commands and start using RO3, CO3, WO3, EO3 and CTSS3. Train your first Tier 4 box in ship components so you can load up level 8 guns and shields. Next box train in new ship chassis and get your Rhixherk which will give you the extra mass for the heavier components. Put your Tier 4 Reward parts to good use also and plan on getting them RE'd when you can. Once you see the effect the overload commands can have with powerful components you will never fly without using them again. For grind exp just do the duty missions or camp spots like the Evil Tyrants in Endor space or go Kill Tier 5s in Dath. Tier 4 is soloable with the right ship loadout and overload commands.

Thanks! I'm a little worried about my loadout since I'm loaded to the gills with about 900 pounds of mass to spare... Does the 3xxx ship allow for bigger mass? Is 109k max mass on my kimo as big as they get? I've been wanting to try the overload commands but I can't find the droid chips anywhere on my server!!

I believe the Tier 3 freelance ship is the Ixygien (sp?) and that is a low mass lightweight fighter so that wont help you. Both my pilots used their Kimos til Tier 4 and then switched to the Rhixherk and utlimately the Krayt atMaster. Really take a close look at your current loadout and see where some mass can be cut. Don't use a heavy booster or DI. Try to find a low mass level 4 or 6 cap that has good recharge or energy. Also use a low mass reactor under 5k if you can find one. Depending on how much you're willing to spend you can nicely outfit your Kimo using RE'd parts and keep the mass down. Any good RE parts can be used in your Tier 4 and master ships also. The Tier 4 ship (Rhixherk) will give you 190k mass there abouts and the Master Krayt ship gives you around 211k mass.

You don't need any blank computer disks to program your own freelance commands. Just have a DI in your ship and flight computer in your datapad. You can program the RO3, CO3, and CTSS3commandsyourself without using disks. The WO3 and EO3 are imp commands so find a imp pilot to program thedisks for you using blank disks you provide him with. To find blankdisks talk to a DE or you can do a globalvendor search looking undereither MISC or COMPONENTS and I think the disks/chips are listed in a subcategory there.

From what you say of where mass is going, I don't know if ships or components might be better. I went for ships, but then, I was moving up from a Dunelizard, so needed the mass. The Rihk should handle the same as the Kimo, just an extra 80-90k mass ... if you list your parts, we might have a better idea, but if you can reduce the armour safely, do so. I just figured something with really good components and came up a bit lighter than your ship.

I'll try list them tonight. I think my 'problem' is that almost everything I have loaded is crafted since I can't seem to loot anything worth keeping. Everything seems to be pretty high-end performance wise, but weight wise too. So maybe I should go 4433 if I can survive running the overload3 stuff, instead of 3434? Or would 4334 be best?

4333 is best... the rihk will help out alot more than the L8 cert but definitly get 4433 after that.

I agree considering most lv8 parts have high mass that you'd at least need the mass of the rihx to make use of any of them. Personally I would go 4334 so you have a better computer to fit one more lv3 command in. Also considering you'll most likely be 4444 before you find lv8 parts that would be more useful can craftable lv7 parts.

droid commands and good aim do more for a pilot than just more powerful guns.
