Thread: Dathomir Imp Mission...

I'm currently at 3322 and trying to run the imperial mission in Dathomir. The one that seems to go on...and on...and on forever. Do the waves of rebels ever stop between the delivery checkpoints? Every time I get down to a couple ships another fresh waves comes along. I've even tried boosting out to the next checkpoint but always get cut down from behind. The furthest I managed to make it was to the step where you disable a rebel transport in order to inspect/dock. The transport only had 4-5 tier 1 ships for an escort with a couple tier 3+. I tried to cut down the escort first before worrying about the transport. I never seemed to make a dent in the number of escort ships. Should I not bother with them and go straight for the transport?
This is frustrating to say the least. I don't mind difficult missions but failing after the 4th or 5th step and restarting the whole thing is getting pretty damn old (not to mention I can't train until I complete this). Does anyone have any suggestions or hints for this mission series?

I think I remember that mission. If I'm right, it's like endless waves of Awings. Go for the transport first. I'd also bring along a friend, somebody to watch your back can make all the difference.

I might have to take you up on that. I am on bloodfin under the name Thaloc. Six failed attempts tonight at almost an hour a piece. This is utterly rediculous. I'm not sure if its the last step but I can get to the rebel transport disable/inspect/dock step everytime now. One tier 3 gunboat and 6 tier 1 escorts that respawn really fast. I can chew through the escorts no problem, but as soon as I unload on the gunboat to disable it is when things fall apart. That thing just hits too damn hard and drops my shields/armor enough that I can survive the docking sequence once all the escorts respawn.
Maybe it really isn't meant to be soloed. Is there generally a chat setup where I can see if someone is in the area to lend a hand when I get to that step? I'd hate to drag someone through this nightmare.
