Thread: best xp to get 4/x/x/x?

just finsih all my tier 3 missions, now im trying ot get 4/x/x/x so i can use my starfighter and im just wondering what the fastest way to get there would be. like what ship specifcally i should use...been using my x wing..or should i group up and do something? or go to s epcific spot?
any help would be appreaciated. thank you :-)

I am no rebel pilot but as a Imperial and neutral pilot (2 characters), here is my 2 cents worth 
What ship? any ship that lets you go decent speed with a good shield and 2+ gun spots, again, I have never been a rebel pilot so I dont know which ship has this.
Where to go? again, not a rebel pilot but there are a lot of imperial npc ships in kessel, atleast on corbantis server, I dont know which station to goto but ask other rebel pilots, I would bet they would know. Kessel is free to get into and all the ships are tier 5 and give 6-8k xp for the fighters, about 22k for gunboats and 43k for 'vettes but with such high lvls, make sure you can defend yourself and have a decent shield
Good luck with the 4 mil grind, its not bad, one of the easiest and funnest grinds in the game, I think.

I would have to say Black Sun duty mission from the tier 4 trainer in the Lok hotel. I think his name is Arkon and he is in the a dark room in the back of the hotel. Finish this duty and you will get about 900K xp. Be prepared to take on waves of 8 tier 4 fighters at the same time toward the end of the mission.
Edit: If you're not in the Havok Squadron, I'm not sure if you can take this duty mission though.

My best suggestion....arm out w/ Level 7 Gear and go to Kessel....Gunboats aplenty, and the fighters don't represent any serious threat.....Just when you tangle w/ the Aggressors, be sure to take thier gank gun first.

The trader escorts around endor are all tier 4. They give pretty good exp and only agro when you shoot them. Its good grinding because you only have to deal with one at a time. Quick kills.
