I'm a little confused. Currently I am a freelance pilot at 1\1\1\0 and I just bought a dunelizard chassie (basic fighter), but I cannot figure out how to add it so that I can manage it at a starship terminal. The chassie is in my inventory, but I don't get any sort of option like Install or anything to add it so that it can be managed. How can I add it?
Thanks

You have to find a chassis dealer and pay him to convert the blueprints (what you get from shipwrights) into chassis, which can then be used to place them into your datapad and be used in space. Along with the new ship, you will need parts for it, I dont know if you can pull them off the novice ship you get for free or not, check the bazaar, there is usually low lvl parts for sale in there cheap.

You can upgrade the parts on your novice ship, and yes you can use those parts as long as you want before upgrading them. If you just got a new ship, put the old parts onto it from your old ship for the time, until you can loot, or afford better parts.
