I tried to do a search for this, but even with the awesome power of the search capabilities of this board, I was unable to find any information about this.
I left the game before publish 9, and decided to get back in because I just missed what immersion there is in this game.
I bought the TTE package so I have all the current expansions. On to the problem at hand...
I have yet to be able to get any booster (looted, crafted, or RE'd) to work with any ship I've ever owned.
The ship loadout looks correct, the status indicators in space say that nothing is damaged, and the "V" status screen shows that there's no damage to any components. I've double-checked my keymapping for boosters (mapped to "b"), but pressing it has no effect. Holding the button down doesn't work either (unless you need to hold it for more than 30 seconds anyway). I also tried remapping the booster key to several different keys with no effect.
I've sent a CSR ticket and the response I received was "Please redeed your ship" (more or less). My ship at the time was a TIE/In, so I did just that. After redeeding the ship and unpacking it again, I reequip my components and launch into space... no boosters. I sent a reply to the CSR ticket a week ago, but still no response so I've began to accept that I'm just bugged and will move on with my piloting career.
I now have a TIE Interceptor. It's a great ship with good+ components, but alas... no boosters. The tier 3 missions are either pasting me completely or I'm not killing fast enough because I have a lack of manuverability due to no boosters. I've redeeded the ship twice out of desparation and still... no boosters. I've spent nearly 250k in unpacking fees from un-deeding my TIEs and even went as far as crafting my own Interceptor, yet no boosters...
I guess my questions are:
Has anyone else came across this problem? If so, have you found a solution?
Does anyone have any tips for dogfighting with no booster capability?
I appreciate any thoughts or ideas, so thanks in advance!

I had the same problem a little while ago. Only recently did mashing the "b" key work for me.
"/boost" or "/boost on" qas the CSR suggested from one ticket didn't work.
In fact, now that I can boost by maching the B key, /boost still won't work. I don't know why, but at least I can boost now... more or less.
(I bought JTL when it came out and did the digital download for RotW)

The same thing happened to me right after the publish. My boosters that worked before would not work on any of my ships. I did manage to find a solution using search. Create a macro, in that macro type "/boostertoggle". Now assign that macro to your booster key or button.
Sounds like this is a longstanding problem. Here is an old thread on the topic: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pilot&message.id=70580&query.id=137207#M70580

I've got a different booster problem. Mine go off fine, but when the power runs out, my ship stops, I mean complete zero velocity STOP. Then it reaccelerates again. Now this isn't a problem in a fighter, but in a POB in combat, thats teh kiss of death.
