Thread: Negative XP, how to avoid it.
Possibly. I don't recall prestige dropping tho. It it does drop, then yes it would be neg, but that would not be a bad thing stopping your grind..just delaying your getting into DS. If it doesn't drop..then its no big deal.

1)It's 30k to enter DS, not 50k.
2)Pilots working up a path don't earn Prestige
3)What you mean, I think, is that they are working off a Starship Combat Experience negative amount in order to be eligible for training. The deficit is caused, as I understand it, by Resigning while under the influence of an Inspiration buff. A bug, but the buff increases the SC Exp lost to more than you have, hence the deficit.
4)A better way to solve the issue would be to:
4a)Let the Inspiration buff wear off before Resigning or
4b)If you do Resign with the buff and end up negative, file a CSR Ticket explaining your problem, and ask the CSR to reset you back to zero SC Exp.

It costs 50k prestige to enter Deep Space, once in Deep Space, you don't suffer decay on destruction. Do yourself a favor, get a fast engine on a small chassis, remove the shields and armorand spend a couple hours going into DS and getting blown up while defenseless. I'll bet the farm it beats having to grind out the Prestige points as a Novice.
1) Its not the prestige that is causing the neg in the XP they are seeing. It's the Pilot XP they had banked before getting the Ace tag. Dying over and over in DS wont solve that.
2) All they have to do is
a) not drop it while on a muscisian buff
b) not do what you recommended.
