i think it is a nerf on the VT-49 there are no weapon access pannels

When you load into the game without an engine (or any part) in the ship then add one, there won't be a panel when you launch sometimes. Basically if you launch and land then dont change the part, the next time you launch there should be a panel.

i had just installed a new re'd engine, so that could explain the disappearance of the panel, but unfortunately when i land and launch or log out and try it again it is not coming back - ive tried evrything... never mind, hope it is just a bug though.
edit - there also appears to be no engine access panel in my Y8 mining ship aswell, and i havent fitted a new engine to that.

I've been scouring the forums for hours trying to find info on this (frelling Search is down)...
Can someone point me to a thread or article that gets into the finer points of POB ship repair? I see all these conduits and panels on my ship, I know that there are kits to fix them, but I really don't have any idea of what needs to be done, and where, and how you know what's wrong... and I'd like to understand it clearly now, and communicate the info to my friends before things start blowing up in combat.
