I've done this twice now. Gone to Alliance station II to declare in Dant. Gone to kessel by Deep space station in Dant. Found I can lose rebel fp by killing rebs, gain Imp fp. I'm rebel on the ground. Smugglers Alliance Ace. I can kill Imps in Dath but no Imps get hurt by me in Kessel.... Can't help with vette quest while getting fp.

Anyone experience this?

This seems like a variation of the Declared in Deepspace sticks for Kessel bug.
I'm strongly suspecting that you declared imp when you went to deep space once....This will keep you "alignment" in Kessel Imperial.

Fix: Remove components from your ship and re deed it...this should fix the alignment thing.
