I just tried it with an Imperial Ace in an Opressor and me in my Krayt. Took out the guns easily enough with missiles, but then four gunboats jump in, all twisting and turning and chasing! The Opreser was blown away instantly, and I barely escaped. They chased us even to the station and we had to hyper out to escape. The lag in Kashyyyk space didnt help either. Any tips for taking out the boats? Anyone on Eclipse who can help us? Right now we were outnumbered 2:! with the boats, so any help is good....

This is how I did it. I took out the sheilds then disabled the engines. Once it was taken over I attacked all intercepters except the GB's. They attacked the Vette but with the Guns still up the Vette fought back. I didn't have to or want to deal with the GB's. Stay in the Vette's blindspot when you attack it and till it's taken over. I'm a M/P and did it solo. I heard that if you wait long enough before you disable the Vette that the GB's never spawn. Maybe someone else has that info.

Wait till your around 9000 meters away from where you first spotted the vette before you disable it. This will allow only the first couple of waves of responding fighters to show up and maybe one wave with one or two gunboats. Also, take your time shooting down the responding fighters. As long as they're shooting at you instead of the vette, your doing ok. Only engage them when they begin runs at the vette. Don't destroy them though...shoot them until agro on to you. They play jackalope(fast as fast can be you'll never catch me)...

Edited for bad engrish.
